support for Azure blob storage? (specifically access to BAM/CRAM files in Azure blob storage by IGV)

I have posted this request over in htslib, but was just informed that for IGV what matters is htsjdk instead ... https://github.com/samtools/htslib/issues/1440

I might be able to motivate Microsoft to help on this, so please let me know if that would be of any help, or if this is already perhaps on your roadmap.
