Application not responding

Describe the bug for the past couple of days I hadn't seen the Maestral icon in my menu bar, but it appeared in the Dock, where it should be hidden after launch. I found out that it stays in launching state and the application is not responding. Have to force quit it to move ahead, but I have lost syncing abilities

To Reproduce n/a

Expected behaviour Maestral would finish the launch phase an start syncing

System:

  • Maestral version: 1.5.2
  • Python version: 2.7.18 (tried with pyenv global 3.9.8, same issue)
  • OS: Mac OS 12.1 (Monterey) on M1 Max
  • Desktop environment: n/a
  • PyQt version (for Linux GUI): 5.15.6

Oh, that's annoying. Just to confirm, are you using the app bundle, downloaded from the releases page, or the Python package, installed via pip3 install -U maestral?

In case of the app bundle, do you also have the command line tool installed? If yes, what does the command maestral status return while the app hangs?

hi @samschott I have been traveling for the past two weeks and didn't see your comment. I use the app bundle :)

The issue resolved itself a few days ago, I have Maestral starting up and syncing perfectly. Not sure if it could have depended on my home network setup. I'm gonna have to wait till I'm back in Amsterdam to see if I have problems again. Thank you for this tool, it's really made a difference for someone who used to love Dropbox when it just synced a folder :)
