Does a sync client need to be constantly updated, if the upstream provider hasn't changed the API?
We have been conditioned to believe that software needs updates all the time, because commercial product managers have been incentivized to keep engagement figures going up and to the right, and designers have to keep following whatever Apple does.
A sync client only needs a minimal UI, to sync files without causing data corruption, and mostly stay out of the way the rest of the time. In that regard, Maestral is an oasis.
It does need to be maintained when it's not performing as it should, which is the case here with Maestral. So I'm actually switching back to the official Dropbox client.

@theDanielJLewis Others could benefit from a problem report. Someone from the community of users might even be able to help, if @samschott can't get to it right away. Did you create one already and no one engaged?
