“Cannot create cache directory” - I have full read+write ability

Describe the bug When launching after a reboot, Maestral claims that it cannot create the cache directory, because I have no write permissions for .maestral.cache.

To Reproduce

• Uninstall DropBox
• Point Maestral to pre-existing Dropbox location, typically /Users/[username]/Library/CloudStorage/DropBox/.
• Ensure you have read+write permissions for DropBox.
• Ensure Maestral is fully up and running, and fully functional, sharing files with DropBox perfectly fine. No errors in sight.
• Restart the system.
• Maestral encounters the error as screenshotted below.

Expected behaviour Maestral continuing to share files with DropBox service as expected.

System:

• Maestral version: 1.9.4
• OS: MacOS Sequoia 15.2
