Video does not play on latest Safari (Version 16.0 (18614.1.16.11.3))

Video keeps resetting and never plays at all.

Console reads: Unhandled Promise Rejection: NotAllowedError: The request is not allowed by the user agent or the platform in the current context, possibly because the user denied permission. Seems to be HLS

Safari 16 is beta still. They have changed many things including the Apple Video Player and YouTube video player in iOS 16 beta. Things can change throughout the beta cycle, there can't be a fix until final release usually in September.

I am well aware but if this is a Safari:WK bug. It is recommended practice to report bugs during development cycle then after its released. Waiting for it to release and then to fix(most likely a workaround) isn’t recommended per platform vendors.

IS it working for you again? I'm on Safari 16.1 and everything seems to work without issue... On macOS Ventura it works flawless and on iOS 16 there is a slight delay when going to full screen but nothing that can't be an animation issue. Which is likely fixed because on iPadOS 16.1 the animation seems to be fixed and there is no delay. I know it's weird having so many different betas out right now, that why I said before things change literally in each beta release. You can't make any changes until final release because what you think isn't working may just be a bug or an intentional thing because of debugging being turned on within the beta...
