Improve UX for input filtering/parsing

Ideally I want highlighting in the input that denotes what the filter parser is seeing on the fly. As for technical solutions to that problem...

ContentEditable is just horrible.

It might be worth looking more into how regexr.com handles it. It'll be hacky from a code perspective, but if it works well then so be it.

It's also not obvious that this feature even exists. It warrants a place in the README if nothing else.
