Error compiling the template in OS X

When compiling the default template using the command sh toPDF.sh, the following error occurs:

!!! Error: Cannot open Ghostscript for piped input: 
gs -q -dSAFER -dNOPAUSE -dBATCH -sDEVICE=pdfwrite -sOutputFile=images/ist_logo-eps-converted-to.pdf -dPDFSETTINGS=/prepress -dMaxSubsetPct=100 -dSubsetFonts=true -dEmbedAllFonts=true -dAutoRotatePages=/None - -c quit

This happened because I did not have the Ghostscript utility installed. Installing the latest Mac Tex distribution solves the issue.
