Removal of formatting options behaves strangely when not using a selection range

This issue can be seen in the demo at http://www.sceditor.com/. Chrome in particular seems to have the problem. I'm using version 47.0.2526.106 m. I did not experience the issue with Pale Moon 25.8.1 (based on Firefox 31.9) or IE 11.0.9600.18124. I tested IE9, 10, and 11 modes in IE.

If you select underline and strikethrough on some text and move the cursor to a spot where it causes the toolbar button state to be selected for both buttons, and then click them, it behaves strangely.

First, it will not deselect the buttons. It will deselect one of the two modifiers depending on click order only after you type a character. The character may be typed at any point in a full line that has the formatting or at any point in the formatted portion of a line (except before the first letter of the formatted portion since this does not trigger the transition of the button states). The line may be anywhere in the editor, that is, it doesn't have to be the last line or first line etc.

The expected behavior is that it works essentially like bold and italic and obviously since it works on most browsers, it's probably something specific.
