[bug] Scenes lose their properties when a new tab is created
If you want to re-use a map from your scenes in a new tab, you need to re-configure the grid etc.
- Upload a map into the scenes. Set the tiling size to 10
- Add the map into your play area.
- Create a new tab. Go into it.
- Add the map into your play area.
- Notice that the tiling size is not 10, but 27 or whatever the default is.
Expected behaviour: The scene would have the same configuration regardless of tab.
Other Notes:
Other settings do not sync, such as grid options, lighting. However, these might want to be different on a per-scene basis? e.g. day/night map
Right now scene options aren't scoped to the image, but the scene tab itself. In my experience it is uncommon to reuse the same image for different scenes, and on the occassion it is, its not too much work to set the options again.
I'm happy to hear what your experience is on this issue.
I think the main thing that would be nice to have is preservation of the grid-size + origin placement because some maps can be finnicky to line up. I have certainly used the same maps in the past when planning ahead and having e.g. two different encounters planned. The lighting etc is very easy to set
I agree that it should not be a very high priority item, but I thought I would file it nonetheless.
