Inkscape freezes with guides referred to a selected object

Thank you for your work! "Add grid/centered/margin guides" works fine when referred to page. However, when I try to apply centered/margin guides to a selected object, Inkscape freezes. I applied the patch inkex.unittouu -> self.unittouu as explained in "No module unittouu" issue, with no success. Best regards Mauro
