SOAP API Version Retirement

Open web20opensource opened this issue 5 years ago • 5 comments

Hi @MichaelAllenClark ,

I'm using the FuelPHP-SDK for upload files to the legacy Content Classic. May I know if this library will stop working as decribed here: https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=SOAP-API-Legacy-Versions-Retirement&language=en_US&type=1

Thanks.

That article is not applicable to Marketing Cloud SOAP API. The Marketing Cloud SOAP API that is used by the FuelSDK-PHP is not versioned and will continue to be available after the Winter 19 release.

Actually it doesn't look like it will work for new apps after Aug. 2019. It will continue to work for legacy apps. Anyone working on a fix for this?

The oAuth token calls only call version 1 in the current SDK. After Aug. 2019 only version 2 token calls will be accepted in newly built apps. This means this package will soon not be usable by anyone created new packages for new apps.

@adjc98 Thanks for that note man, not sure about it. I'm actually migrating to Content Builder. And using the node-sdk. However not sure if will have the same problem on that sdk.

Let's get some feedback from the official maintainers. @MichaelAllenClark

I am not sure on the current road map for the SDK but I have forwarded on your concerns regarding the supported auth versions to the product owner.
