Search page throwing error when loading up

Summary

In the search.tsx page, when no products have been searched yet it shows the error and the error is: Error: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'strip' I imagine this is a server error since I haven't found a way to fix it in the storefront. Using latest version of storefront, core and dashboard
