problem using the android archive files for multiple usb camera inputs

I am using the archive files included in this project. They work very well for capturing and displaying one input at a time (thank you for sharing them). However, when I try to connect and display more than one source I get a bandwidth error and the second video will not connect and display.

The confusing thing to me is I am pretty sure multiple inputs/displays was working when I first experimented with it. But I don't seem to be able to get back to that point.

Looking at the UVCCamera project I see others have had similar issues and said compiling with older versions of the Android NDK helped. This didn't seem to help me when working from that source.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
