Yes, I think it's great to adopt the new API.
I think it's okay to keep them in `/src/content` since it matches existing practices. Users can easily modify the location if they want.
Not sure how to fix this issue for now. Btw, I noticed the issue also appears on https://astro.build/sitemap-0.xml.
