Despite the widevine module being displayed in chrome://components/ I cannot play videos requiring widevine unfortunately.

I have the same problem, beta branch in use. By copying the Widevine files to /usr/lib/chromium-browser/WidevineCdm I got the chrome://components page to show a version number other than 0.0.0.0 (now 4.10.1610.0) but it is still not working.

I can't seem to get it to show up at all under chrome://components, I installed chromium-dev using apt-get on Ubuntu 20.04 arm64. I got the Widevine libraries from a ChromeOS disk.
