Show accessory as a bridge?
Would it be possible to show the state as a bridge accessory. Bridge just looks more like a server, just a look thing. If the bridge is up, it shows just like any other bridge. If it is down the bridge goes into "not responding" state?
Hi, the plugin will create a Motion Sensor Accessory as a part of your homebridge bridge. If the bridge is down, the accessory will show No Response
automatically. This plugin was meant to create a motion sensor and will get activated whenever the host is up/down. And accordingly you can run automations.
I understand your problem, you can hack your way around it. For e.g. I have two running homebridge instance, and both have this plugin checking for each other. So if one homebridge instance gets down, the motion sensor in other instance gets activated and notify me that one homebridge instance is not working. And you can run automation to restart or power cycle your raspberry pi or computer to restart homebridge.
