PYTHONZ_ROOT + install broken ?

hi guys,

it seems the env. var. feature to install in another directory is actually more or less broken (or am I missing something?)

I indeed see there is something wrong with a PYTHONZ_HOME_ETC var wrongly defined in that case. I'll fix that as soon as I can.
