No, camera zooming is not supported.
I don't know if using system APIs you can zoom in the camera, haven't looked into that. > Also, does the latest version support camera image zooming? Nope.
We decided against having it after Android 15s edge to edge introduction, it creates significant problems. Dropping the status bar in landscape mode should be doable without immersive mode.
A PR would be welcome indeed! Hiding the status bar only while in landscape mode would be what we are after here.
I cannot reproduce this with current master, can you please test it again?
Did you make any changes? What node / npm versions are you using? What exact steps are you following to make a build?

Can you try starting the app from Android Studio or Xcode? We diverged quite a bit from the standard RN workflow.
This is really weird, I don't know why you're running into that :-/ What OS are you using? Any chance it's Windows? We don't test there at all.
