You are connecting to some server other than the default meet.jit.si, right? Are you in control of that server? Can you share the URL?
You can open the JS console in the Electron app using the smake shortcut as in a browser. Then search for "version" in the logs.
Can you check what's the character at that position in the XML?
I don't see what could be the problem. Since you are on Windows, which is a much less traveled road for us, I suspect it may have to do with...
