Enroll in Tidelift
Hey @saghul, https://tidelift.com/lifter/search/pypi/aiodns has some funds to be grabbed.
We've been enrolling various projects under the @aio-libs umbrella, but haven't checked yours since it got transferred: https://github.com/orgs/aio-libs/discussions/33.
Would you like in, or let the org maintainers get those donations?
cc @Dreamsorcerer should we just enroll?
Sure. Can update it later if desired.
Sure go ahead!
@saghul the question is more whether you want to be added. If yes, it'll require you to apply. The process involves manual steps.
Oh ok. Sure. I'll check the links out, thanks for the heads up.
Note that if multiple people apply (and get approved to lift), they will offer to decide how to split the monthly payment. They usually try to verify who the lifters are, first. And you'll need to sign some agreement when enrolling for the first time (they give the lifters a bunch of trivial tasks, most are one-time things like confirming that metadata/license is correct; more validation work would come up if there's a CVE and they'd ask the lifters to fill out a questionnaire regarding vulnerable/fixed versions + likelihood of the users actually hitting security issues; most of the months, there's absolutely nothing required to do). Any changes go through a human and one can't arbitrarily add/remove lifters.
I've had a change of heart and won't be enrolling. I'm lucky to not need the money and my time availability fluctuates, so I don't want to set expectations.
@saghul sure, no problem. Sam and I can enroll still.
Maybe @bdraco wants to join?
Maybe @bdraco wants to join?
I'm gonna pass as well, I'd rather see the funding go to the other org members.
