Model selection in chat is not saved

It seems to me that if I pick a different model from the @ mention list it is not saved, so the next mention will call "the previous" model. While picking a different model at the top bar using AI button does change the default. I think every time the user switches a model the default should be to switch to it in all places, otherwise things are just confusing.

Well, all I can add is this is on purpose. When we discussed this for the chat, the conclusion was back then that this should be a temporary alternative and not change the default. Only if there are additional controls like tiny buttons (or whatever) in the menu, then that chat menu should change the default model.
