when cancelling a subscription, add a way for users to explain why
Here's how it works on amazon.com:
I wonder what a good list of options would be for cocalc subscriptions?
Some options:
- I no longer need cloud computing ("I no longer use CoCalc" is too vague)
- I found a similar product at better value
- A feature that I need is missing
- Not happy with my experience
- Other
In all cases it would be nice to ask to elaborate, especially on missing features and negative experience!
This is highly valuable to understand the steady user base. And in particular we need to tell the difference between users cancelling a subscription and a script cancelling a subscription because of non-payment. (Deleting or banning a user are probably other possible reasons.)
This seems relatively easy, except there are things left unanswered, e.g., where do we store this data? how do admins get informed of the results?
Where to store - with the subscription itself, the same record that stores start/cancel/resume dates etc. Fixed choices may be fine just there, while for "Other" it would be nice to send an email to admins or something similar.

There's nothing implemented to "send a message to admins", so I'll make a ticket for that -- there's many choices for how that could work. #7804
