add a script & suitable links, for daily autogenerated https://github.com/hoxu/gitstats pages for the entire project and the past month and year.

Well, I am not sure how "fun" this is. A while ago there was a discussion on the mailing list, where we wanted to know how many active devs are there, and how much everyone is doing. This tool gives some summary statistics. The goal would be to write a script that does this, or uses this data, and produces some HTML that could be included in the website or so. Since the ticket is just lying around here, I don't think it's that important?

Another idea might be, to not do this for the website, but instead write a script that runs this locally inside SageMath.
