Rough idea to implement Application Profiles/Templates within Portmaster
- would provide details for each app profile/template uploaded
- community could interact by rating, asking questions, etc
- import/export/append
- will expand further on mockups

The app community ranks/ratings feature is controversial, as it may give users a false sense of security by relying on someone else’s ratings. It is also a challenging task to link an app profile to a specific application across different operating systems, especially when considering different app and OS versions.
Anyway, thank you for your efforts. We may incorporate some of your UI design ideas into future development.
@stenya Hey! Thank you for the feedback! Your perspective on the community ranks/ratings makes complete sense. Didn't actually put that into consideration and now really has me pondering what other approaches could be considered. I'll put some thought into it and return with more input, although some quick thoughts that come to mind I'll share below....
[Community Ranks/Rating]
- Ranks/Rating, could function differently by analyzing how frequently a profile is visited, downloaded, commented on, user rating could be included but would have only an X% of value overall.. perhaps, "did this work for you"
- perhaps just show total Downloads, total Interactions, keeping it simple...
[Different Operating Systems]
- script detects operating system and only displays compatible profiles/templates
- common or universal rules that are compatible with all systems, could be automatically modified to match OS structure
