Hey @pronoctic, thank you for reporting on a compatibility.

We keep a list of compatible software and user provided guides for improving compatibility in the wiki - please have a look there. If you can't find your software in the list, then a good starting point is our guide on How do I make software compatible with Portmaster.

If you have managed to establish compatibility with an application, please share your findings here. This will greatly help other users encountering the same issues.

thank you for the report, are you on windows 10 or 11? or on what linux distro?

Oh, completely forgot to mention that. I'm on Windows 10

Although its been working without any issues, I'm still testing several other VPN providers because I get a significant speed drop in both TCP and UDP OpenVPN options respectively. But it has nothing to do with Portmaster as when I stop portmaster completely I still get the same significant speed drop.

Surfshark has 3 options to choose from Wireguard, OpenVPN (TCP), OpenVPN (UDP) -- and both openvpn options are significantly slower accross basically all the servers I've chosen from their list.

apologies for the closed/open issue, ran a script for my keyboard macros and it just went crazy

for context surfshark seems to have worked for longer see: #785

that ticket was also mentioned in the wiki: https://wiki.safing.io/en/Portmaster/App/Compatibility

it is good to get updates from time to time, which is why I am linking the two issues.
