I don't think this is how it's supposed to look like!

Running GNU Emacs 24.5.1 (x86_64-apple-darwin13.4.0, NS apple-appkit-1265.21) of 2015-04-10 on builder10-9.porkrind.org

Most likely the font you are using doesn't have that character. If you type M-x customize-variable RET org-bullets-bullet-list, it allows you to change the characters. You got them from here

@sabof How to check if my fonts have or not the character, I meet the same problem, and I want to use this character. Thanks!

@thinkinnight You could just paste the character into your org-document by hand to test if it is supported by you font.
