Upgraded the component to web monetization 2.0 spec

  • Replaced meta tags with link tags
  • Replaced the monetization events to the latest monetization events on the link elements.
  • Fixed a bug with including page param over site param

Hey @sabineschaller, True that. The markdown based on which the initial plugin and your initial site(yes, i tried that too) is outdated now. :') The exclusive content module doesn't work with latest hugo sites and it means only the embedding the monetization link tag works and not the exclusive content module from this PR.

I could not get back to this either until now so didn't bother you either. I will update your sample hugo site, this plugin and remove the items & modules that are now outdated. will push the changes and ask you to review then. \o/ Thank you for taking your time and please share it with me if you have any other inputs.

Hi @devcer ! I've finally been able to install our extension as well as getting this to work with a hugo page. Everything was so incredible outdated. The embedding of the link tag works for me. I think hugo changed how they handle raw html. But I also haven't figured that out yet. Maybe we can work all of this out when we are in Cape Town together 😉

Sure Sabine, Sounds like a plan. \o/ Meanwhile I will also explore how Hugo handles Raw HTML in its framework until then.
