Unintuitive scrolling gesture
Edit (@adil192): The original issue was saying that the usual method of scrolling (i.e. scrolling on a laptop touchpad) wasn't working. This issue has then expanded to cover the following:
- [ ] Laptop trackpad scrolling
- [X] Trackpad scrolling with finger drawing disabled
- [ ] Trackpad scrolling with finger drawing enabled
- [X] Laptop trackpad pinch-to-zoom
- [X] Trackpad pinch-to-zoom with finger drawing disabled
- [X] Trackpad pinch-to-zoom with finger drawing enabled
- [x] Zoom in with
Ctrl +orCtrl =and zoom out withCtrl - - [ ] Mouse scroll-wheel scrolling (investigation needed)
- [x] Support desktop movement keys (Up, Down, PageUp, PageDown, Home, End)
Scrolling currently requires you to drag the page with your mouse like you would on a mobile/touchscreen device.
oh I was scrolling(on laptop's touchpad) , which behaves as zooming of page
There's been progress on Flutter's end. E.g. https://github.com/flutter/flutter/pull/112172 handles trackpad pinch-to-zoom and https://github.com/flutter/flutter/pull/112171 handles trackpad scrolling. This hasn't reached Flutter stable yet though.
I'm leaving this issue open since I'll need to rebase InteractiveCanvasViewer when these changes get released.
I would suggest to make zoom in with ctrl+= and zoom out with ctrl+-. It would be more natural for users as mostly desktop apps use these two key combinations
and Scroll wheel for page scrolling
@adil192, the web version is not supported any more, isn't it?
yes
I have not checked Desktop Application, this bug
I think it is a little better with v0.9.6. However I still miss using the mouse wheel to scroll the pages.
On the desktop, a scrollbar would also be nice (perhaps combined with the “pages” dialog docked like a sidebar).
I use Saber on Desktop, and I am unable to scroll with the scroll wheel in notes. Scrolling with scroll wheel in overview list or settings works as expected. Scrolling with arrows in notes also works. In notes, the scroll wheel zooms, and if zoom is locked, the scroll wheel just does nothing. Is there anything I can help with investigating the issue? I am using Saber on Gnome Wayland installed from Flathub.
On mobile (where I have used it until now) it is a superb tool and I enjoy making my notes with it! Thank you!
