OPCODES MACLIB in a future VM/370CE
As a result of a discussion on the hercules list OPCODES VMARC came in the picture, when I tested it on VM/370 it turned out that a newer maclib format was used in the downloaded version (I used it on newer VM versions) and I sent the package to Bob and the link to Jay Moseley's page to the list. I could have done better by opening an issue here to avoid duplication of work; so I am correcting that error now.
The attached OPCODES VMARC seems newer and more complete than Jay Moseley's version of Stephen Powell's macro package. I also attach this package as I have it.
OPCODES.LISTING.TXT (ASCII) indicates the differences between this package and the OPCODES MACLIB that Dave has uploaded. opcodes.listing.txt
This is the package that I already had and used (and don't know where I got it) (zipped binary vmarc) opcodes.vmarc.zip
It would be great if we could include a complete version of this in the next VM/370 CE.
I am comparing any differences between these libraries.
Great! Note that MVS tk5- also has a library full of macro's for assembler XF: SYS2.SXMACLIB on TK5RES - with exactly the same purpose, to add missing instructions as macro's.
