Archipack 2.5 w/ Blender 3.x hanging - extremely slow

Open frandevel opened this issue 2 years ago • 3 comments

Archipack version: 2.5

Blender version: 3.3.0, 3.1.2, 3.0.1

Os version: MacOS Monterrey (12.6)

Description of the issue: When loading a simple project with several walls, as soon as I try to edit any wall or wall vertex, the rainbow color wheel appears and the processor is devoured by Blender. Also happens with different reported versions and the same thing on another laptop with the same specs. It's a MacBook Pro with an Intel i9 processor and 16GB of RAM (SSD hard disk) No other consuming applications opened. Attached: Blender file and standard error output and standard application output from the start of the application until it freezes Plan_Manual_C05.blend.zip blender-errors.txt blender-log.txt

I just tested version 2.5.1 of the plugin w/ Blender 3.3.1 LTS and it's working fine now. Thanks a lot for the effort and the feedback. Hope this helps someone else. User acceptance test: Moved several vertices of the same wall (and some others) where I was able to reproduce the issue. No rainbow wheel showing up and no system hanf of CPU full consumption present.

Hi Frank, Thank you for your feedback ! Glad it does now work as expected (thanks to blender's dev for handling the AMD GPU issue properly !!)
