when choosing add archipack in preferences I get error

I have the same error, I downloaded the free version from the website and I got this traceback error. Don't know what to do...

Weird that you haven't received a response to this issue. Ran into the same thing myself on blender 3.3. Due to the error it seems like an internal API changed in a recent release. The site originally claims it works for 2.8, 2.9, and 3.0. My guess is this changed sometime between 3.0 and 3.1. I'm downloading Blender 3.0.1 now to try it out. I'll report back with my findings.

I was able to resolve this by using the update page to request a link to the current version. https://blender-archipack.org/archipack/update

Whatever version I downloaded right after purchasing was broken. Using that link should get you there if you haven't already resolved this.
