I'm marking this as stale because we no longer use libcloud. We should probably still have a look at how secure connections work with the new storage implementations.

Grooming note: This is probably because of DNS. Whatever is written into the backup metadata is not the same as what the nodes usually run with.

Hi! We managed to drop libcloud usage meanwhile, so this probably became a non-issue. However, we still need to check if medusa works with Cohesity.

We can't easily get access to Cohesity. @smatvienko-tb , any chance you could give it a try with a recent medusa?
