Controller is not being picked up by the emulator

Description of Issue

Ever since the jump to Azahar, my controller can't interact with the emulator. Even the latest version of Lime3DS or PabloMK7's citra was able to read my controller.

That being said, my usage case may be a weird one, as I use a Steam Controller. To be able to interact with emulators and other programs, my desktop configuration for the controller is to just emulate a regular xbox controller, which has been working so far until Azahar dropped. I could map my controller to keyboard keys, but that would be sub-optimal.

Expected Behavior

Me being able to map my controller buttons to the emulator keys.

Reproduction Steps

Open the Configure... menu, go to Controls and try to map a key to your controller, or try to use the Auto Map button (none of these react to my controller).

So to be clear, you are in desktop mode on arch, right, not a steamOS style game mode? And are you launching Azahar through steam, or just using the desktop steam input profile?

If you are using the desktop profile, have you tried adding Azahar as a non-steam game and launching it that way?

Yes, this is regular arch KDE desktop, and I'm just launching Azahar regularly, without Steam.

I did a try adding Azahar as a game on Steam, and I can confirm this makes the controller work, so this could count as a solution. Still, its weird that it can't read it without it when it could in previous versions of the emulator.

I assume this has something to do with changes in SDL (which had been upgraded since Citra) and likely not something we have any control over.

im using ds4windows ryochan and i dont have this issue. hidhide is a necessity to use with it also.
