What feature are you suggesting?

An option to have a chosen rom pre-loaded into the system so it's accessible from the home menu instead of having "nothing inserted in the game card slot"

Why would this feature be useful?

Would make it more convenient to go from home menu to game instead of having to manually reselect a game every time if it's the same game.

I'm not exactly sure what you're suggesting here. How would having a game inserted in the game card slot in the home menu avoid having to select the game?

Adding to OP's suggestion, some games (like MH4U) use the Friend List feature to search for and connect to other people online. Right now, trying to use these features just gives the default "Friend List not set up" message.

Would running the game from the Home menu as if it were a cartridge allow the user to access the Friend List? If so, it would essentially add back Friend List functionality to all games that use it

Given that MH4U also had a digital release, I doubt it has anything to do with that.

So would installing the .cia version of the game and booting it from the Boot Menu "fix" the issue? Genuine question, because it would definitely solve my problem pretty easily, although I would have to stop using the .cci file
