Image conversion

I'm able to convert embedded images from base64 to local files but if I copy a note from an online HTML I'm not able to convert a remote img (http://remoteURL/img/image001.jpg) to a local resource or to the corresponding base64 encoding. This way my copied and pasted note will depend on the remote image forever. Is it possible to implement this feature?
