Meta+Alt+Click heading?

Open wenlzhang opened this issue 5 years ago • 4 comments

When I Meta+Alt+Click a note heading/section, the heading would be inserted into the Workbench note as a block with ID. Is it possible to insert heading directly? Or is it possible to create another shortcut for inserting note heading/section?

Interesting. How would you expect this to work?

As I said in the previous issue, these click commands were designed for working on one line at a time. Interacting with a whole section is perhaps best accomplished via the Link to/Embed heading/section command that is already in the plugin. You can assign those commands to a hotkey in Obsidian's Preferences → Hotkeys.

Would that achieve your desired workflow?

I expected it to work like this. When Meta+Alt+Click a note heading, the heading would be linked to the Workbench note like [[Note#Heading]]. This can be accomplished by using hotkeys.

I opened this issue maybe because I did not want to remember too many hotkeys 😅

FWIW, I don't have these set to hotkeys, I just use the command palette (cmd/ctrl+p by default).

But yes, I think I can get a heading click-option working eventually!

+1 I would love for this to be an option for header to embed with click options
