Stuck with "remove" screen after core update

on ProcessWire 3.0.118 After a core update using this module (3.0.117->3.0.118) I am stuck with this message: "Upgrade files are already present. Please remove them before continuing." And there is a "remove" button but that one has no effect, when clicking on it. The screens only gets back to normal after cleaning the backup files manually from root and cache. (No problem when updating modules)
