Hey Ryan -

I wanted to see if I could speedrun "making this work with all of the latest dependencies". It seems like I got it to work; I haven't used it in anger yet. I'm stepping away from my desk for a little bit, but I figured that I'd at the very least it was worth throwing up a draft PR to see if you had any interest in reviving this.
