Hi rxyhn. First, I'm very happy with your work. I really appreciate it. I couln't find the issue i opened.

I just did a fresh install of archlinux because i was on artix and hyprland. And I installed absolutely everything in the guide. I have internet, everything works... except the github module. Everything is configured correctly.

I found that in the .cache/awesome/ folder there is no github folder, nor the json. I think the widget is not working

Is there a way to fix this?

Are you sure you put in your github username? When I put in all of yours, I get your activities. The widget works perfectly fine iirc, and it doesn't have any external dependencies, except for GIO which should be installed on your Arch Linux systems in the core/glib2 package.

Also, make sure that lgi is installed.

Do you mean put the name in the file user_variables.lua ? and when you say lgi do you mean the package lua-lgi ?
