Resting palm accidentally triggers Window Throw
@bigplayer-ai I'm assuming that you're seeing this on v3.51?
Just checked I am up to date! Rectangle Pro 3.51 is currently the newest version available.
Most frustratingly, resting my palm on the trackpad while using the mouse the Window Throw gets triggered (Snap Target/Panel shows up) and somehow, when I remove my hand from trackpad, can accidentally trigger a Window Throw action. It behaves similarly like the second video
2025-04-23.12.44.21.mp4of OPFurther investigation suggests this issue is linked to the
three finger dragaccessibility setting. When this setting is enabled (it could be this happens even when this setting is off), Rectangle Pro appears to incorrectly track the cursor's position during Window Throw gestures.Potential reproduction steps:
- Enable the
three finger dragaccessibility setting.- Enable Window Throw and activate the snap panel using kb shortcut.
- Initiate a Window Throw command (at any direction) using mouse.
- Lift the finger (which simulating mistakenly a palm that might be misinterpreted as a three-finger release) or move using three fingers, this happens a lot to me because I keep my palm on the trackpad so it misinterprets the palm on trackpad with three finger drag
- Observe that Rectangle Pro may not register the correct final cursor position, potentially causing an unintended Window Throw action upon release.
