  • [✓] This is a new bug that hasn't been documented in a closed issue or in the Readme.

When using Anydesk to connect to a Mac, the mouse snap functionality in Rectangle stops working. Dragging a window to the screen edges no longer shows the snap footprint or resizes the window.

How to reproduce:

  1. Make sure Rectangle's mouse snapping works normally.
  2. Connect to the Mac using Anydesk from another machine.
  3. While connected, try to snap a window by dragging it to the edge.

Details:

  • Expected behavior: Mouse snapping should continue to work.
  • Actual behavior: Mouse snapping is completely disabled.
  • Workaround: Keyboard shortcuts for snapping still work.
  • Note: This issue doesn't happen with other screen-sharing apps like RustDesk, which suggests it is specific to Anydesk.

  • macOS version: 26 beta 6
  • Rectangle version: 0.87 (93)
  • Logs: No, the issue is a lack of event detection, not an error.
