Tap with three fingers Magic Mouse stops working randomly

Open kianrafiee opened this issue 9 months ago • 4 comments

My other gestures work fine. But any 3 finger tap gestures stop working randomly and then starts working again randomly after 10-30 minutes. I created an issue previously for one gesture in particular but I just noticed it's not working for all of them.

Thanks for reporting. At a start, would you mind enabling the touch viewer and letting me know if you can see what's going on when this happens?

In the Multitouch menu bar menu, go to Help > Debug > View Touches.

Looks like the left finger on a three finger touch is not being registered most of the time on specific areas of the Magic Mouse. If you take a look at the video you'll see that it shows a faint circle for the left finger most of the time or no circle at all. If I reposition my fingers on a different area of the Magic Mouse, it will start to register them again as you can see at the end of the video when it finally triggered and did its intended action of closing the active window under cursor (my gesture).

Interesting. That doesn't reproduce for me, so this might be kind of hard to narrow down. Looks like you're on macOS Sequoia, and which model of Mac are you using? Perhaps now it would be best to know which apps you have with Accessibility privileges as well (System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility).
