Two finger swipe for trackpad Trackpad and one/two/three finger swipes for Magic Mouse

It will be awesome if Multitouch gets navigation gestures to improve the usability of Finder. Specifically, I am interested in two new gestures:

  • Two-Finger Swipe Gestures for Trackpad: This would allow me to navigate between directories in Finder more intuitively, mimicking the navigation found in browsers.
  • One/Two/Three-Finger Swipe Gesture for Magic Mouse: This gesture would allow me to navigate between directories in Finder with ease.

Thanks for the feedback.

Two-Finger Swipe Gestures for Trackpad: This would allow me to navigate between directories in Finder more intuitively, mimicking the navigation found in browsers.

I have avoided this since the vast majority of users will always use two finger gestures for scrolling, and I prefer to not overlap with built-in macOS functionality where possible.

One/Two/Three-Finger Swipe Gesture for Magic Mouse: This gesture would allow me to navigate between directories in Finder with ease.

I've kinda never liked swiping on the Magic Mouse in general, aside from one finger scrolling (sorry!), and that's why I haven't added this.

However, if there is enough demand for either of these then I will reconsider.

Definitely reconsider please!

I too would love to associate a 2 finger swipe left/right for navigating forward and backwards in apps, including Finder.

Even better would be the ability to just create your own gestures 😅
