Three finger swipe to switch between safari tabs gets confused with default macos two finger swipe to go back/forward
Macos Ventura beta 13
Multitouch 1.27.4
Title is self explanatory, sometimes a three finger swipe is registered correctly, and it actually switches tabs, sometimes a three finger swipe will act as a two finger swipe and go back/forward in webpages.
Macos Ventura beta update caused this.
Thanks for reporting. I don't experience this and I'm on the latest beta. Might be worth waiting for another beta update to see if things get resolved (this type of behavior has happened and gotten resolved on previous year's betas before).
I can second this issue. Having it while on 12.5.1 w Multitouch version 1.27.4
Since it's happening outside the beta, we'll want to see what touches Multitouch is detecting. In the menu bar menu, go to Help > Debug > View Touches. Perhaps one of the touches is being deemed as a resting touch and is not being passed to Multitouch?
I split my issue into a separate issue (#123) since I'm not positive it's related and I didn't want to usurp this user's issue.

All three fingers register as moving. The new macos version just thinks three finger swipes are the same as two
@almihnea Thanks for the update. What do you have configured in macOS trackpad settings?
Nothing besides two finger motion for going back/forward in browser pages, three fingers for control centre and four finger swipes to switch between desktop

I had the same issue on Ventura 13.0.1 with v1.27.7 and these MacOS settings:
- Scroll & Zoom
- All gestures enabled
- More Gestures
- Swipe between pages: Scroll Left or Right with Two Fingers
- Swipe between full-screen applications: Swipe Left or Right with Four Fingers
Strangely, changing the "Swipe between pages" setting to "Swipe with Two or Three Fingers" seems to have fixed it. Now, I can use the "Swipe {left, right} with three" Multitouch gestures without triggering MacOS two-finger swipes, despite the warning in Multitouch that they'll conflict.
It does not fix it in Chrome. When "Three Finger Swich tabs left" I also trigger back. Sonoma 14.2, v1.27.23
