Since updating to 1.27.2 - tap gestures are over sensitive, drag gestures are under sensitive.

Specifically "Rest one, tap to the left/right" often trigger without meaning to, and "Rest one, swipe two down to the right" is much harder to trigger. I only updated to 1.27.2 due to the preferences appearing on wake bug, which I can still see occurring but it closes the pane almost instantly, but is still there.

Thanks for reporting. I'm still working through the wake bug and should have something out on that soon.

I'm still working through the sensitivity on those gestures as well, sorry for the inconvenience there. Did you adjust the touch precision and swipe sensitivity in the settings tab at all? Let me know what you tried and what your outcome was for what seems close enough. I don't like changing the sensitivity on any of the gestures, especially since that would mess with muscle memory for existing users, but I genuinely feel that the current sensitivities were not right. Hopefully I can get them to a stable point this release.

Thanks for your response; I would love to have a wider range of sensitivities to try, I have tried precision on all three settings now and still get false triggers on my tap gestures. Swipe sensitivity is already at highest but seems to be harder to trigger since updating.

I reverted back the rest one tap one in v1.27.3.

I've been considering just having sliders per gestures that can configure each of the variable parameters.

You can adjust the swipe sensitivity further, via terminal command, something like

defaults write com.brassmonkery.Multitouch swipeDifficulty -float 0.5

high is 1, med is 2, low is 3. Restart the app after executing.

This value is currently tied to the rest of the swipe gestures. If I decide to go with per gesture configurations in a future release, then this might change out from under.

Just updated straight from 1.26.x to the latest 1.27.2 and the 2 finger tip-tap (normal distance) is very sensitive still. Tried playing around with various settings to no avail.

I use those for switching tabs and it's a real challenge to keep it steady haha. Otherwise awesome to see you're still actively working on this, thanks!

Commenting just to bump this issue :)

Same as others here, since the update sensitivity for 2 finger tip-tap is too high. I also use it for switching between tabs and it's unusable at this stage as it jumps between tabs sporadically and often.

Love this app, its an absolute essential! Thank you for your work and constant updating!

I'll prioritize an update for this in the next release. I'll also see if I can add some kind of more specific control to the UI for it.

@pcjmfranken, @kdsub1, just wanted to confirm, are you all still seeing this on 1.27.4? The sensitivity on 1.27.4 should be the same as what it was prior to 1.27.2, but I'll still dig into it if things aren't right.

@rxhanson it's actually gotten much better - although I'm not sure if that's from any adjustments you made or simply me having gotten used to the sensitivity 😅

Either way no need to dig into it deeper for me. Cheers!

A lot better now! Still get the odd random switching but definitely not as much as before.
