Ring of the Flying squid disabled when changing dimension
Hello,
I have been playing in a 1.12.2 pack containing EU2 1.7.4 and noticed that any time the player changes dimension, the ring of the flying squid stops working. In order to make it work again, you have to pick it up from your inventory and put it back in.
GP generation is chunk loaded at all times using ChickenChunks 2.4.1.71.
I am no longer going to count the number of times I died by falling down my shaft in deep dark before remembering to reseat the ring.
Pack being used is "The Lost Travels version 1.5" available in twitch launcher.
Thank-you
I've recieved this report before, but I can't seem to replicate it for some reason.
I did some more troubleshooting and managed to find a way to repeat. Turns out the ring stops working when changing dimension by using a Waystone or Warpstone from the Waystones mod. Changing dimension using regular methods (nether portal, etc) keeps it working (or even makes the ring start working again after getting broken by the previous change).
Not sure if it's a problem on Waystone's side or a weird interaction.
Additional update, it also happens when using the deep dark portal and Aroma's mining dimension portal. For the deep dark portal, it doesn't happen upon the first transition but coming back to overworld using the portal again does.
These last tests were done in a different modpack to make sure it wasn't a pack specific issue. (SnorshCraft 1.5.4 on twitch launcher)
I'm having this issue as well, but with nether portals.
I don't have any GP generators in the nether, only the overworld. As expected the ring is unusable in the nether, but when returning to the overworld it fails to work again. If I just pick it up from it's inventory slot and pop it back again it'll work once again.
I have also had the odd occasion where it will work after spawning in the nether when re-entering the game.
Here is my mod list: https://pastebin.com/2tzitnKg
I'm having the same issue in Direwolf20 1.12 pack, version 2.3.0
Same bug (wow 2 years no fix), just have to take it out of slot and put it back, and it works even in nether
