azure map / bing map Language support

Open alex188888 opened this issue 2 years ago • 5 comments

Hi,

The question is related to the great plugin of azure / bing maps. Is there a parameter I can set to display the address / location in another language? Different from English.

Currently if the interface language is not in Hebrew the map does not appear: image

@alex188888 Wanted to clarify your comments, you are saying that the map does not show up when the interface is in Hebrew, but it is showing up in English.

There are limits to the bing maps control and what languages it supports. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/bingmaps/v8-web-control/creating-and-hosting-map-controls/setting-map-control-parameters?redirectedfrom=MSDN#supported-languages

That being said I had never looked to see how my control would handle multiple languages but that is something I can take a look at.

Hi @rwilson504 , You're right about the bing control, by the way the control does work in Hebrew. The problem with the azure map that it is not displayed when the interface is in Hebrew but is displayed when the interface is in English.

@alex188888 Ok so when you change personal options to Hebrew the map just stops loading.

When you change these options are you also changing the language settings of the computer or just the settings within Dynamics?

@alex188888 I was able to get the component to load while my personalization settings were in Hebrew. Would you be able to direct message me on LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/in/rickawilson/).
