Support on Bluesky and/or Mastodon
There has recently been an Exodus of engineers from Twitter to other friendlier communities, like Bluesky or Mastodon.
Would you happen to have any accounts on those platforms that could be added to the README file?
RWeekly no longer uses our Twitter account (not least because we can't access it programatically). We do have a presence on Mastodon https://fosstodon.org/@rweekly but we don't regularly check in on it or post using it. That's something we could improve on.
It might be worthwhile adding links to the editors' individual Mastodon/Bluesky accounts as well.
@jonocarroll , what about a starter pack in Bluesky with all the profiles of the editors, like this one from Posit? On Mastodon i don't think there is a similar mechanism.
FWIW, I think that there is a mechanism for posts on one platform to appear on another. I haven’t tried it but thought I’d share the details in case it helped. Here is a post about it.
