F25-F35 keys

Hi,

is there any way to get F25 to F35 keys as output? Also, I don't understand why prog4 outputs F24 as well.

I'd love to map the media keys of all my keyboards in order starting with F13, but I have 13 additional keys on one of my keyboards, so up to F24 isn't sufficient.

I wasn’t able to map anything above F12 myself, but prog1 through prog4 work, as do keys like hanja and muhenkan. The prog keys should be more than enough for your purpose. The first set outputs prog1 through 4, the second S-prog1 through 4, the third M-prog1 through 4, the fourth C-prog1 through 4, and so on and so forth. With just 4 prog keys you could theoretically equip over 80 keys. I think you are covered, even if you leave out a few modifiers. None of this outputs function keys of course, but you can still assign functionality through keyboard shortcuts on your operating system and run scripts on press.

Well, no, assigning prog 1 to 4 actually outputs F21 to F24. Not sure if that's keyd or Linux doing that, though. F13 to F24, on the other hand, works perfectly fine.

The problem is also not with the number of keys I can use for shortcuts, but with the logic behind it. If I see that I assigned F13 to script X I know that F13 is the first media key on my keyboard, no matter the keyboard. If I want to assign the third key to script Y I know I have to take F15, etc... If I've assigned hanja or volumeup or some "name key" like that it could be key no. 1 or key no. 5, whatever. I'd always have to check. Thus the idea with just using the "numbered keys" (F and prog).

But you gave me an idea with the modifiers. Dividing the keyboard into sections by modifier and each section into F13 to F24 it should be easy enough to remember.
