Ctrl+left arrow

Hi @rux616 I'm unsure if I am doing someting wrong. After installing the repo file I would expect the follwing shortcut: Ctrl+left/right arrow to jump to end/start of word (the same as on PC) ?

I believe that's what should be happening. Though to be more exact, what's happening in the background is that a Ctrl+{Left Arrow,Right Arrow} input is being translated to an Option+{Left Arrow,Right Arrow} input, unless the program currently active is one of the ones in the "Generally Excepted Applications" list in the "List of Shortcuts" section of the readme. If the program you have active does something funny with that Option+{Left Arrow,Right Arrow} input, it could have unexpected results (or possibly result in the shortcut simply not working at all).

That being said, I have not had access to a Mac in some time, so I can't personally verify.

First, thank you so much for making these, coming from windows/linux for my entire life I was losing my mind trying to type.

That said, I'm having the same problem, this is the only one I've found that doesn't seem to work. Here's a list of programs I've tried so far and what currently happens:

  • firefox
    • jump to start/end of line instead of word
  • obsidian
    • ~~nothing~~
    • You can get this working if you delete the shortcuts for "navigate forward" and "navigate backward"
  • slack
    • jump to start/end of line instead of word
  • vs-code
    • nothing
  • textEdit
    • jump to start/end of line instead of word

Hope this is helpful in finding a solution!
